My English Language Learning class in Gracias, Honduras!

Welcome to my Teach Spain blog! This will be the only post on this blog until the middle of August when I leave for Motril, Spain where I will be teaching English for 9 months. But please come back then and follow me as I continue to travel the world and gain valuable experience that will help me as I continue my career in education.

WELCOME!

After graduating from the University of Michigan in May of 2009 I was unable to find a teaching job and was feeling restless in the "real world." Being a social studies and history teacher by trade I began to look for other ways I could gain valuable teaching experience.

With that said I was given an awesome opportunity and enjoyed a successful 5 months teaching at a bilingual school in Gracias, Honduras I have now moved to Spain and completed an intensive Spanish language class in Sevilla and am now living in Motril. I am a Language and Cultural Assistant for La Zafra, a large Spanish public school on the northeast side of town. I am also working at an English academy teaching English 5 hours a week.
